ACL Rehabilitation to get you back to performance

THE ACL-R REHABILITATION PROGRAM

The ACL Rehabilitation Program is a progressive, evidence-based approach designed to restore knee stability, strength, and confidence following ACL injury or reconstruction. ACL injuries can significantly impact movement, sport participation, and long-term joint health if not managed thoroughly. Our program is built to break the cycle of incomplete rehab and recurring setbacks—combining advanced strength testing, movement analysis, and return-to-sport protocols.

Using contemporary equipment and clinical expertise, we guide you through every stage of recovery with precision, helping you return stronger, safer, and more resilient than before.

The ACL-R Rehabilitation program is appropriate for those who have experienced ACL injury and are looking to recondition to their best self, whether that be the conservative brace protocol or surgical reconstruction.
Our ACL-R rehabilitation program uses a strong evidence base and our advanced testing technology to understand the functional, strength and movement factors through each stage of rehabilitation.
60min in-depth ACL-R Testing and Assessment Consultation (valued at $169).
Follow-up 45min 1-2-1 treatment, therapy, and reconditioning sessions (usually $135 each, just $120)
Complete guidance under experienced clinicians to guide progression along with an individual program via our programming app
Direct access and guidance from our physiotherapy team
IDEAL FOR:
Individuals who have experienced ACL injury and want to get back to performance.  We use testing technology to get the numbers about your knee function and strategies such as antigravity running, neuromuscular electrical stimulation and gym-based reconditioning, to help you get back to function.
  • Quadriceps Strength: Restoring quadriceps strength is essential for knee stability, functional movement, and return to sport. Deficits in strength are linked to reduced performance and higher reinjury risk. Strength should be objectively tested and progressively developed throughout rehab.
  • Neuromuscular Control: After an ACL injury, the coordination between your brain and muscles is disrupted. Regaining neuromuscular control ensures safe and efficient movement, reduces compensations, and improves joint stability during dynamic tasks like jumping, cutting, or decelerating.
  • Graft Healing & Load Management: ACL grafts require time to biologically heal and integrate. Even when strength and mobility improve, the graft structure is still remodelling. Rehab should be phased to respect healing timelines, ensuring progressive loading without overstressing the graft too early.
  • Proprioception & Joint Awareness: Proprioception refers to your body’s ability to sense joint position and movement. ACL injuries disrupt this, increasing the risk of instability. Balance, coordination, and single-leg control drills help retrain proprioception and dynamic joint stability.
  • Strength & Functional Symmetry: Rehab aims to restore strength and movement quality between both legs. Asymmetries increase injury risk and limit performance. Objective testing helps ensure that power, control, and mechanics are balanced before progressing.
