BUILDING A BACK THAT YOU CAN TRUST
THE RESILIENT BACK PROGRAM
The Resilient Back Program is a specially designed program to reduce chronic lower back pain and optimise function. Lower back pain and dysfunction can have a significant impact on function, strength, and quality of life. As a consequence of this pain, functional strength is reduced and motor movement patterns become dysfunctional, leading to a cycle of pain and poor mechanics. The program focuses on addressing the underlying causes of pain and uses a holistic approach to improve strength and function.
The Resilient Back Program is specially designed to stop this pattern and cycle. Our program uses contemporary technology, equipment, and a strong evidence base to get you back to achieving your health, function, and performance goals.
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Our Resilient Back Program includes a variety of assessments, treatments, and techniques, individualised for you to recondition and optimise strength and function. This includes:
1. In-Depth Musculoskeletal & Motor Control Assessment
A thorough assessment using our contemporary technology to obtain baseline range of motion, strength, motor control, and dynamic stability/balance data provides us the foundation to deliver individualised care
2. Reduce Pain - Manual Therapy & Soft Tissue Techniques
A variety of techniques may be used to reduce pain and target specific goals such as reducing protective muscle tone and addressing functional restrictions. Learn more about our Treatment & Therapy
3. Individual Strength, Motor Control & Function Program
A tailored strength, motor control, and function program is then implemented to target areas of weakness and address deficits that are contributing to your pain and dysfunction. The program is indvidualised with specific coaching to help you develop strength and function.
4. Technology Interventions - Maximising Results
We utilise technology, used within elite sport, to maximise your strength and function redevelopment. This includes the use of our monitoring technology to re-assess and adjust your program.
5. Support & Guidance
Throughout the process, continuous support and guidance is provided to ensure you achieve your health and performance goals. We educate you throughout your Resilient Back Program journey on injury prevention strategies, altered exercise modalities, and holistic lifestyle factors to empower you to achieve long-term solutions to your back pain.

KEY TERMS YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT DURING THE PROGRAM
As part of the program, we address a variety of factors that may contribute to pain, including:
Motor Control: Described as the initiation, grading, and regulation of movement involving the musculoskeletal and nervous system.
Strength Capacity: Also described as strength endurance, capacity measurements and programming assist in improving fatigue resistance of muscles.
Lumbopelvic Stability: The strength and stability of the lumbopelvic core system, which includes trunk muscles, hip/glute muscles, and the diaphragm. Assists in providing central stability during dynamic limb movements.
Pain Neuroscience Education: A process of education describing the detailed neurophysiology and neurobiology of pain, pain perception, and the musculoskeletal/nervous systems.
